Job Purpose Mazars FS Consulting is experiencing exciting growth and we have various opportunities for talented and high performing individuals to be based in the London office given the opportunities arising from increasing regulatory scrutiny, supervision and demand for external assurance. At present we are seeking to recruit additional talent to our already established team of FS Consulting practice. Job Role The Manager would be expected to participate in the active growth of our FS Consulting practice by contributing to multiple client engagement teams, working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and lead business development activities on key accounts. As a Manager, you will be required to: • Work as part of small and large-sized multidisciplinary engagement teams delivering regulatory projects for clients • Assist Engagement Directors or Partners to manage execution and delivery of client engagements, making sure assignments are delivered within agreed timeline and budget and in line with Mazars standards of quality • Advise and assist clients in implementing processes, controls and systems to ensure compliance with prudential regulation • Assist our clients in understanding the impact of regulatory developments on their business model, capital and liquidity requirements, control framework, regulatory reporting obligations • Be able to provide guidance to our clients on the application of regulatory requirements • Identify issues and risks that could impact delivery and escalate them in a timely manner to allow adequate management • Understand how to leverage on Mazars network or seek for support as and when relevant • Work with FS Directors or Partners to develop our Prudential Regulation service offerings and associated marketing material • Prepare technical proposals and pitches for clients • Assist in the development of training material and deliver presentations • Mentor, coach and develop more junior staff Person Specification • Holds a Degree qualification or equivalent • 5 to 7 years of experience in the Financial Services sector in risk, compliance or regulatory roles • Comprehensive understanding of businesses, structures, governance frameworks and process & control infrastructures of firms in the Financial Services sector • Experience in at least one area of Financial Services and a general understanding of the wider Financial Services sector – Corporate and Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Asset Management. • Experience/knowledge of one or more of the following: o The UK and EU regulatory framework, covering both existing and forthcoming regulations. Specifically knowledge of:  PRA Rulebook and latest Supervisory Statements, FCA Handbook (in particular SUP, COBS, SYSC sections)  CRRII/CRDV Directives and EBA and ECB requirements o Risk identification, measurement, management, monitoring, reporting and risk governance – drafting and/or review of policies and procedures, terms of reference for Committees, risk management framework, risk registers o Preparation of Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP), Common Reporting (COREP) and Resolution and Recovery Plan (RRP). Knowledge of capital requirements for Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 risks. o Building scenarios and/or performing stress tests to assess capital and liquidity adequacy, in preparing liquidity contingency plan and funding plan. • Strong relationship management skills and ability to develop and maintain internal and external network of contacts • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present effectively to senior level client executives • Strong analytical skills • Ability to work as a team as well as manage projects independently • Works well with others in the team and acts as a role model, setting high standards of quality and demonstrating commitment to self development • Communicates team goals with clarity, sets clear objectives for team members that are aligned to business plans and monitors and assesses performance, providing timely feedback and support as necessary • Promotes the firm’s values and beliefs, demonstrating integrity and maintaining an ethical stance DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION AT MAZARS At Mazars diversity and inclusion are central to our values.
