About the team Our team help client to transform their finance function and go digital by employing cutting edge technologies to re-design and streamline process and dataflow for applications like zero-base costing, capital management, and regulatory reporting. A properly designed data warehouse is essential for the implementation of the design to make sure data flow efficiently without lost and with minimal need of reconciliation. As a Senior Associate, you will work as part of a team helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution with entrepreneurial mindset. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for the role include but not limited to: * Assist the project team in designing and deploying to client data architect solution that aces the client re-pivot their database * Design data warehouse architect to achieve defined business goals * Interact with clients to understand the business requirements to conclude the blue print, configuration, testing, and continuous enhancements of the data warehouse * Communication business and functional requirements of the data warehouse with developers * Work with the project team to help clients - incumbents and virtual banks, and other financial institutes - to devise a data strategy that addresses industry requirements * Build an inventory of data required for implementing the architecture * Design framework and architect to enable collection, consolidate, and extract-load-transform of data for downstream data usage, i.e. create a fluid, end-to-end vision for how data will flow through an organization * Develop data models for database structures * Produce demo for proof of concept of the designed data flow and architecture * Interact with developers to implement the designed data architecture * Fit into delivery mode using Agile methodology * Identify and solve problems objectively using analysis, experience and judgment * Develop relationships, establish credibility with and instil confidence in clients * Leverage cross-geography insights and practitioners to enhance client service delivery * Articulate how technology enables and differentiates the business and communicate this effectively to clients Preferred skills * Bachelor's or above degree in in computer science, computer engineering, data science, or related fields * Minimum 2 years of work experience in consulting or industry focused on financial services * Strong technical skills with understanding and hands on experience in the following software: * Application server software (e.g. Oracle) * Database management system software (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server) * User interface and query software (e.g. IBM DB2) * Enterprise application integration software (e.g. XML) * Development environment software * Backup/archival software * Python, C/C++ Java, Perl * Hadoop and NoSQL databases * Data visualization * Strong analytical and problem solving capability to point out the root cause of data inefficiency and provide practical solution to resolve the issue * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Excellent command of English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) * CDMP, IBM Certified Data Architect, HDFCNA, or equivalent certification would be preferred.
