Overview

Band 6 Specialist Occupational Health Nurse Advisor Location: Working across Crewe and Macclesfield Hospital sites Hours: Monday - Friday, 08.30am - 16.30pm Duration: Expected to be until end of April Pay: £18.50 Paye - £23.50 Umbrella OH qualification or equivalent experience Experienced in pre-employment health assessments to establish fitness for post applied for Recent evidence of study in speciality or related field Experience in implementing appropriate vaccination programmes with follow up and recalls in line with Occupational health policies and Department of Health guidance. Knowledge of current health & safety practice and legislation and infection control. Experience in providing advice on sickness absence rehabilitation and fitness to work. Knowledge of blood borne viruses. Experience in initiation of appropriate blood tests following immunisation and to check immune status for infectious disease/blood borne viruses. Knowledge of immunisation and biological immune response, especially to Hepatitis B. Evidence of CPD in last 6 months. Experience in monitoring and follow up of accidents to staff when notified by injured party/Trust Non Clinical Risk Manager/receipt of incident form. Knowledge of professional accountability, and impact of NHS issues Importance of equality, diversity and rights Broad range of OH clinical experience
