The company is seeking to recruit a Marine Planner/Operator to work within the Operations and Trading team. This position will report to the Head of Marine Operations and will be responsible for planning, managing and controlling the operational aspects of shipping and operations relating to purchase, time Charters the Company and working closely with the Marine team to identify opportunities to improve supply costs. Key activities in the role will include : Responsibility for stock management at our UK terminals Liaison with terminals re tankage, stocks Liaison with traders and risk management on cargo tolerances. Establish and maintain a robust control framework for Marine business to protect the firm’s physical assets and reputation. Responsible for inspection, documentary instructions, voyage orders on all shipping voyages Assisting with chartering vessels Managing and planning of Time Charter Vessels for bunker supply to Ferries/Ships Management reporting on vessel movements, tank utilization Marine Operational process evaluation and improvement. Liaising with invoicing team to ensure data is updating correctly and in a timely manner To focus on cost and operational efficiencies through the end to end process Working with Duty team to ensure correct reflection of duty payments. Managing operational relationships with vessel owners and terminals. Dealing with and overseeing the performance of vessel operations, supplier and terminal nomination. Monitoring, controlling and reporting the cargo, demurrage and associated costs in line with stock risk management. Commenting on purchase and sales contracts in close liaison with contracts, treasury and demurrage department This is an intensive role which requires a commitment to be available outside of normal working-hours.
