Overview
Managing Director - Trade Association City of London £80-£90k Our client is looking for a dynamic professional to join their team and lead their ambitious trade association to the next level. The successful candidate will be understanding of the UK Insurance Market, and capable of setting and delivering real value to the Associations Members and the market as a whole. Reporting to the Chair of the Board, the key purpose of the General Manager is: To identify, measure and deliver fully the value of the membership benefits provided to each class of member. To be the external face of ourclient, and to promote vigorously the role and relevance of the association in the UK insurance market. To create, manage and deliver a full strategy and business plan. To attract, grow and maintain a wide-ranging membership base across the UK and other targeted jurisdictions. To establish and strengthen the relevance and voice of the association in the UK and other relevant market places. To take ownership of the development and implementation of policy issues and for the management and operation of the association. To liaise with and influence regulators as regards matters affecting business. To manage the executive staff and ensure maximum productivity from such executive, for the benefit of the members. Applicants should be able to demonstrate:- A full cognisance of delegated underwriting and issues relating to this An understanding of the regulatory regime relating to the conduct of delegated underwriting Ideally be a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
