Overview
Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator for our client based in Witham on a permanent basis. Roles and responsibilities: The overall responsibility of the Machine Operator is to support the production line activities within the manufacturing site at Witham. Performance: Ensure Short Interval Control (SIC) documents are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Agree Daily/Weekly Plan and monitor. Liaise with appropriate departments/colleagues to ensure all materials are available to adhere to Plans and take appropriate action to resolve issues. Ensure issued plan is followed and any deviation from this is discussed and agreed with Team leader / Supervisor. Be accountable for targets set for Productivity and Efficiency. Be accountable for control and management of Raw Material and Packaging Stock, its issue of, consumption of and the accuracy of data. Maintenance of Quality Standard’s: Ensure all Quality Control documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure that you commit to the training that is delivered to meet Quality Control standards. Highlight any Quality issues that occur to Senior Management and escalate to the Quality department. Maintenance of Health and Safety Standard’s: Ensure that your work environment is kept clean and tidy. Ensure that you adhere to company dress standards for the factory environment. Ensure proper storage and disposal of waste and recyclables. Any other reasonable duties as assigned by your Line Manager Skills, Knowledge, Experience: Educated to GCSE standard or greater preferably with further in-house or vocational training in food manufacturing practices and improvement methodology. Team player with a flexible approach to a variety of duties. Excellent communication skills. Verbally and Written. Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications. Good attention to detail. Proactive i.e. ability to think and plan ahead. Determination and drive. Experience of working within a fast paced FMCG environment. Good working knowledge/experience of continuous improvement processes. Good working knowledge/experience of VFFS machines and Multiheaded weighers. Good working knowledge/experience of SIC (Short Interval Control) and performance measurement and management. In return our client offers a salary of £19,000 - £20,000 per annum with free onsite parking and benefits.
