Our client is a market leader in FMCG / Food manufacturing. An immediate opportunity has arisen for a proven and dynamic production professional to manage the production teams. Role: Production Manager (Days) £200 - £230 a day Target Location: South Leeds Reporting directly into the Plant Manager, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing team, undertaking a diverse role with responsibility for controlling the movement of all raw materials through to finished goods in your factory, planning and scheduling production resources to meet customer needs within quality, time and cost specifications. You will be responsible for both the day to day management of production professionals, via your established management team; as well as co-ordinating and driving development projects which will lead towards performance improvements, cost reduction and greater competitiveness. You will deliver products within constraints, identify, recommend and implement process improvements, as well as design a performance management system for operational teams. Requirements: Ideally you will be of graduate calibre, with a considerable understanding of all areas of factory operations. You will also possess FMCG or fast paced manufacturing industry experience, with factory knowledge and understanding of the key drivers within an FMCG factory environment. You will be truly inspirational in your approach and management of people, as well as possess a high degree of commercial and financial understanding. In addition, you will be experienced in change management, CI, planning and organising factory improvement initiatives This could suit a proven production shift manager or Manufacturing Manager hoping to take more responsibility for a days based leadership area role, operating with complete autonomy.
