Overview
A dynamic, UK wide logistics business is looking to appoint a commercially astute Financial Analyst to join one of their business units near Maidstone in Kent on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. Working in a commercial finance environment, the role will support the Head of Finance for the South of England in the analysis and delivery of key business information, preparation of management accounts and will be key in continuing to drive a business partnering approach. Accountabilities will include: Co-ordinating the month end process and putting together business performance packs, including monthly management accounts Driving the review and analysis of KPIs, providing insightful data and recommendations to the business to aid commercial business decisions Preparation of budgeting and forecasting Acting as a Business Partner - building relationships with the management team and key internal contacts and challenging the business where appropriate to improve performance Undertaking financial analysis and financial modelling Reconciliation of the balance sheet Assisting with the year-end process A motivated and driven individual is sought after for this Maidstone based role in Kent. Candidate’s will be formally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a passion for business partnering. Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large sets of data and make recommendations will also be essential, together with proven experience ideally within a commercial finance role involving month end, budgeting and forecasting in a product based background such as logistics, manufacturing or FMCG. Candidates must be available to start a role within the next 2-4 weeks.
