Buyer | Nottingham | £25,000 - £30,000 I'm looking for an outstanding individual to join one of the best established employers in the East Midlands as a buyer. Working in a fast paced manufacturing environment, you will be working to deliver on tight deadlines, all within a hardworking, high performance culture. I'm looking for an experienced buyer who can confidently control the flow of materials into the business, managing inventories as well as suppliers. A positive, can-do attitude and commercial mind-set is essential. The Role: Working extensively in SAP, you will be responsible for assessing material demand and then creating and managing purchase orders and schedules in order to ensure that material is delivered OTIF. You will be tasked with making cost saving initiatives where possible and managing supplier performance. Alongside your buying responsibilities you will also have duties which include inventory management, customer interface and continuous improvement. About You: Essential to this role is a positive, can-do attitude; you will be joining a team of high performing individuals and being able to contribute to the team success is essential. Ideally you will have held a procurement or supply chain position within a manufacturing business where you have held responsibility for both purchasing and inventory management. This is a highly commercial role and having a strong commercial acumen will stand you in really good stead.
