Senior SatCom Systems Engineer • Military and Commercial Solutions • Flexible with location but customer sites based across Hertfordshire and Wiltshire • £60,000 - £70,000 excellent benefits An established name, well known for being on the forefront of innovation within the Satellite Communications industry are expanding their team and are looking for a Senior SatCom Systems Engineer to join them. They have several projects within Military and Commercial Systems and will look for you to take responsibilities across requirements development, architectural design and modelling of satellite networks and communication services. With customer sites across Hertfordshire and Wiltshire, this role does offer some flexibility with location, but you will be required to regularly work on site. You will be an integral part of a highly focused systems engineering team, so previous experience in this sector is essential to allow you to get up to speed as quickly as possible. Your day could include: The development and management of system requirements Requirement decomposition, modelling and trade-off analysis The development of system and service architectures for next-gen satellite networks Developing link budgets Contributing to high-level system design of satellite network constellations (GEO, MEO and LEO Satellites) Top-level capacity design and performance analysis of satellite communication networks and related communication services. Required Skills and Experience Proven experience of System Engineering of Satellite communication networks The ability to establish network capacity and high-level architectural network requirements The simulation and modelling of satellite networks (including ground and space) Knowledge of the operating framework used by satellite communications/telecoms operators for service delivery (TOM etc) Experience of security architecture design principles Knowledge of SatCom network system design for LEO, MEO and GEO systems. Current or the ability to gain SC Clearance.
