Overview
Rutherford Briant are recruiting for a Senior Accountant, to join an established company in Grays. Our client is a Private Equity backed company who have some impressive investors. They are a fast moving, complex and highly profitable. The business is progressive, dynamic with plans of sustainable growth. This is a newly created role where you have autonomy of dealing with technical issues and keeping up to date with statutory requirements. You will also help with the development of a small team. Key Responsibilites Responsibility for accurate preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated reports Liaising with the correct teams to ensure financial information is accurately presented in line with the policy accounting standards Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual entity, ensuring that submissions are prepared in line with relevant accounting standards Assisting with the preparation of Subsidiary Statutory Accounts, in accordance with audit deadlines Completion of month end journals, reconciliations including coordinating with the production of the monthly and/or weekly reconciliations Preparation of quarterly financial returns to be reported to internal and external stakeholders Ensuring maintenance and data structures are up to date Use initiative by suggesting process improvements and ways to implement them Ensuring up to date documentation of processes, risks and controls Liaising with external auditors to ensure thorough responses are received to any questions raised during the annual audit process Responding to queries from stakeholders, ensuring they are delivered in accordance with the requested specifications and deadlines Ad hoc reports, information requests and other tasks that arise throughout the year Ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place to provide support to operational areas The ideal candidate will be fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA. Due to the complex nature of the role you will need to have either experience in a large accountancy practice or large corporate organisation.
