Overview

Electrical - Electronic -Test - EMC - Automotive - Silverstone - Training - HNC - HND We are looking for Electrical / Electronic Test Engineers (or trainees) with an interest in vehicles, who are or would like to become Automotive EMC Test Engineers. There are several positions available and full training will be tailored to suit each applicant. The automotive world is changing quickly with increasing demand for EMC testing, and our client is the leading provider of automotive EMC testing in the UK, with a brand-new, purpose-built facility in Silverstone. Working 37.5 hours per week shifts (6am - 1pm or 1pm - 9pm), you will be working with prototype automotive components of all types ensuring they can be fitted to vehicles with minimal impact from unwanted electrical events. Key Responsibilities: Perform testing and produce reports of products submitted for test Document high quality experimental work in accordance with industry standards Follow internal test procedures and specifications Use (and create) certification procedures as required by approval bodies Liaise with internal engineers to resolve issues arising during testing Assist with the set-up and testing of prototype products submitted for test Support the sales team with queries relating to product testing and approvals Job experience & skills requirements: GCSE Maths B, English B, A-levels in any related subject, HNC/HND or a Degree An interest in & knowledge of vehicles is an advantage Completion of a recognised course in a relevant field (such as EMC) would be an advantage but not essential as full training is provided Well organised & practical approach with good attention to detail Ability to work autonomously An ability to understand electrical issues.
