Overview
Location: Leeds or Manchester (with UK travel) Package: Competitive Salary, plus 10% bonus, 25 days annual leave, car allowance, 3% Flex Fund Life Assurance Pension The company NHS SBS provides a range of outsourced BPO services to NHS clients across the UK, which it delivers through its Finance & Accounting, Employee Services and Transactional Procurement business lines. Recently NHS SBS has developed a new 'Innovation and Technology Services’ business line to provide Managed ICT and Digital Consultancy and Innovation services to NHS trusts. In 2019 NHS SBS was successful in securing multi-year contracts with Cambridge and Peterborough Foundation Trust (CPFT) and Cambridge Community Services Trust (CCST), for the transformation and ongoing provision of their Managed ICT services. NHS SBS is now working closely with both clients to transform their legacy infrastructure technology platforms and the associated operational support and service delivery model. The day job As the Senior Bid Manager you will lead the NHS SBS Bid management team. This will include responsibility for the tender production process on all NHS SBS bids across all of our core service lines. Adding value and effective support to the Business Development team, you will ensure all documentation is of a highest standard and meets challenging timelines. You will be involved from the initial stages of the bid process, ensuring allocation of bid production resource and supporting team members with managing the bid production plan for each submission. Key Responsibilities: Lead the bid function within NHS SBS with overall direct management responsibility Manage complex proposal development processes Manage and forecast the pipeline of bids Implement bid strategies to co-ordinate the preparation and submission Co-ordinate, prepare and continually review bid submissions. Essential skills: Ability to manage and lead bid managers and bid teams Specialist knowledge of different types of procurement process such as OJEU (European Journal) and methods such as e-procurement Risk management in a bidding context Knowledge of security and confidentiality requirements in a bidding context Sales orientation and awareness Bid experience within the public sector, ideally in healthcare
