A growing and highly reputable, successful chartered accountancy practice firm based bear Sidcup is looking to recruit an experienced Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager as a combined result of both ongoing growth, along with the need to plan for succession and the future development of this firms tax service line. You will carve a key higher level tax position and career path within a mixed tax or Personal Tax and advisory focused role. Client Details This chartered accountancy practice has developed a very strong reputation and standing across Kent and the wider UK acting for very wide ranging clients, in sectors and turnovers. Clients range across small sole traders, partnerships and limited companies with turnovers under £100,000 through to £50 -£60million turnover groups, larger corporates and OMBs. The firm is a good sized independent, with partners and specific tax focused team of around six individuals of varying experience and backgrounds. The firm is growing and presents a superb environment and opportunity for the right professional to progress within their tax career, with a clear path on offer for those with ambitions for partner/director level progression. Description Joining the firm, based in their offices near Sidcup as a Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager you will take a lead role in the delivery of mixed tax or Personal Tax advisory services to the firms clients. Given the range of private and corporate tax clients the firm acts for, tax projects are very wide ranging with examples across CGT, IHT, Trusts, business sales and mergers, reorganisations, remuneration planning and tax investigations and enquiry work, dealing with HMRC into enquiries on Benefits Trusts for example and other wide ranging investigation work. Therefore, there is potential for involvement in wide ranging tax project work across differing areas of personal and corporate tax. Should the right candidate have a particular lean and strength in certain areas, there is scope to mould the role to encourage development of that advisory work, along with the scope for you to work on other areas of tax. You will lead the delivery of advisory services and work with the wider tax team, reviewing tax, leading the development and further growth of this firms tax department. Profile You will be any of ACA, ACCA, CTA, ATT qualified, having developed your career to Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager levels or similar, most likely within an accountancy practice firm career background, with any mix of small/medium/larger independent firm, or larger Top 50/Mid/Top Tier firm background. You may have focused your career across mixed tax, or more focused personal tax, or corporate tax background, as their is genuine scope to mould this role to a decent degree to work around the right persons technical tax background.
