Senior Solutions Architect Location: Salisbury Clearance: Please note that due to the timescales the client requesting profiles with an active DV clearance Sanderson Government and Defence are delighted to be presented with a well-established client who are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join their team. The primary responsibility of a Solution Lead is to deliver a viable, management and fit-for-purpose solution that meets the needs of the client and is capable of being effectively managed in service. Essential Implementation of private and hybrid cloud technologies based on the VMware platform and automation platforms such as vRealize Good understanding and knowledge of virtualisation platforms, VMware in particular Good understanding and knowledge of VMware's Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Zero clients IT Security Solutions (Policy Based, Physical, Environment Hardening & Software) & Provisioning and Implementation) Windows Client OS Windows 7 - Windows 10 Linux based OS Administration Good understanding of Microsoft Infrastructure covering Windows Server 2012 / 2016 administration, Active Directory design , SCCM / SCOM deployment A good understanding of, and competent working within, architectural frameworks such as TOGAF / MODAF Key Responsibilities Responsible for the ensure the solution/design process is adhered to by all SMEs Responsible for the creation and implementation of end to end solution/technical design and ensuring alignment to the strategic technical architecture Preparation of artefacts required as part of the architectural toolkit to ensure design governance has appropriate artefacts to be successful (with appropriate collaboration with other SMEs and overseen by SLC Architecture) The solution meets architectural goals that include usability, performance, security, reliability, maintainability, reuse, supportability and compatibility. In addition ensuring that the design meets the client's requirements. Provide solution and technical SME input to appropriate levels where internal skills do not exist (e.g. when new technologies are being investigated) Ensure the project adheres to the agreed design lifecycle and that the correct design documentation is produced at each stage Desirable Cloud architecture certification (e.g. AWS / Azure) PRINCE 2 Management of Risk TOGAF 9.1 Certification Software Defined Networking and Cisco ACI deployment Microsoft Project If you are interested to take on this exciting opportunity do not hesitate to apply for the Senior Solutions Architect role.
