Overview
We are looking for an experienced Income Officer to work to an East London based Housing Association. Purpose of the Job To provide a high quality and prompt communal energy and housing management service. To ensure that the heating arrears are pursued in order to maximise unpaid heating income. To produce monthly heating bills for all the residents with CHP meters. Raise the profile of our services and ensure improved customer satisfaction Rent Recovery Specialism Maximise heating income for the Association but ensuring the key principles of customer care are adhered to. Work with residents from sign up/set up to prevent debt from occurring. Negotiate realistic repayment agreements taking into account financial circumstance. Give advice on payment options available. Setting up direct debits and posting payments for residents Work effectively with external partners. Manage a complex caseload and instigate legal action as necessary for the recovery of debt Attend the County Court when required to present cases where court order or money judgement is required to minimize income loss to the Association Skills & Experience Numerate and literate to a minimum GCSE or equivalent standard Computer literate with knowledge of Word and Excel packages Understanding of customer care and quality issues Experience of reducing arrears through regular monitoring and negotiation. Experience in helping customer with queries. Recognised qualification in housing management or other relevant degree. Thorough and applied knowledge of housing management techniques Experience of presenting cases in court and apply for Money Judgement on MCOL Experience of working in an organisation where quality systems have been introduced Experience of out-of-office hours arrears work
