Overall purpose of role Due to significant company growth, we are looking to expand the technology department. We are looking for an experienced person to join the project team working on the technical IT elements of business changes and development such as integration of newly acquired firms into our infrastructure, client facing automation and solutions, significant software upgrades and business continuity. The role will be working with the head of the Technology Projects Team to understand, research, design and implement solutions to meet the business objectives and timetables. Applicants are not expected to have experience in every application; however, a thorough understanding of Microsoft technologies along with a desire and motivation to quickly learn new skills and logical thinking is essential. Responsibilities Agree and work to deadlines Interface with other technical specialists and other support/business as usual team leads to coordinate planning and execution of change initiatives. Reviews and presents new processes to senior team members. Conducts testing and verification of new processes before implementation. Implement changes Test and/or oversees testing of new hardware/software. Create documentation on new processes. Requirements Technical - at least 3 years' experience is required working with the majority of the following Solid networking principal and all aspects of Exchange and Active Directory, GPOs, ADFS, Security, PKI, DNS, DHCP, routing/VPN/Firewalls etc) Design and migration experience from on premises Exchange to Office 365 (Hybrid, Staged and Cutover) - PowerShell (Exchange) Windows Server 2012 and above Supporting SANs SCOM (System Centre Operations Manager) Cloud management and orchestration platforms Skills in scripting / programming are a big bonus. Amazon Web Services Azure and Azure-Stack infrastructure Admin System Centre Configuration Manager Supporting Microsoft Office365/AD Windows 7 and above Supporting Microsoft SQL Server with clustering and writing SQL queries Personal - at least 2 years' experience in a majority of the following Ability to conduct fact finding investigations and research complex issues to gather pertinent facts, determine issues in dispute, draw conclusions and make recommendations. Ability to present information to a variety of audiences, responding appropriately to on-the-spot questions without pre-scripted responses while maintaining credibility and integrity. Ability to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, providing and obtaining information of a complex, technical or sensitive nature, while ensuring the communication is constructed logically, provided in a timely manner and conforms to the appropriate format and content for the audience. Ability to prepare, edit, and proof-read a variety of written materials including technical documentation, business and technical reports, quotations and business plans.
