Overview

Reed Nurse Health Doctor are currently recruiting for Registered General Nurses to act as a key member within the National Pandemic Corona Service supplier call centre in Newcastle. This will be an ongoing temporary role. JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse DEPARTMENT: National Pandemic Coronavirus Service (Internal / External) BASE: Newcastle NPCS Supplier Contact Centre HOURS: Full time (Part Time may be considered in some centres) REPORTING TO: Clinical Assurance Director With operational dotted line into Ops Director in the designated call centre AFC PAY BAND & ENHANCEMENTS: Band 6 WORK PATTERN: In line with NPCS operating hours covering hours 7am -11pm or 24/7 if pandemic determines a 24/7 service. The Role Working closely with the team leaders and operational managers in the call centre, this role will require the successful individual to monitor the clinical performance of a newly established team, with responsibilities for identifying additional training needs and ensuring all calls are assessed by accurately following the clinical algorithm. To motivate and support individuals to achieve their objectives Accountable to the Clinical Assurance Director they will give any clinical advice in relation to the pandemic. This duty involves being highly visible on the call centre floor when the agents are assessing the patient. The agent will have a flag system whereby they can seek on the spot advice from the nurse, to help them with their assessment. The nurse will use critical thinking and effective communication skills to holistically assess patients’ needs as described by the agent Utilise advanced listening, probing and facilitative skills across a diverse range of queries, some of which may be highly challenging due to emotive circumstances, communication difficulties and caller anxiety.
