Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our multi award-winning and Global client based in the centre of London. Reporting directly to the group Head of IT, you will ensure the full satisfaction of the end users in combination with IT group requirements and policy. Additionally, you will provide direct support to local users, acting as 1st & 2nd Line support in the resolution of routine queries relating to hardware and software applications. A 'customer first’ approach is essential to the role, combined with strong stakeholder management skills and an ability to prioritise competing requirements effectively whilst maintaining effective communication. A keen eye for improving processes and implementing best practice in IT operations is essential to continued success and growth. IT Support Technician main responsibilities will include: 1st & 2nd Line support management (Incidents resolution and laptop setup, production support) Active directory administration Asset management (hardware, software, service agreements) Manage local and group projects Research and evaluate new technologies Manage and challenge local partners on delivery and quality. Provide support for new releases and deployments Perform incident analysis and take actions Desired experience and skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or experience in a similar role A minimum of two years’ experience in a relevant role, providing IT support in a multisite environment IT Project Management/Coordination experience Excellent analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail and a methodical work style Highly articulate with strong communication skills Demonstrable experience working to tight deadlines and balancing competing demand from senior stakeholders Windows Server 2012 through 2019 MS Office Application Suite MS Technologies (AD, DNS, RDP, DHCP, GPO, Security Groups) Endpoint management (antivirus, remote management, backups) Solid understanding of desktop level connectivity and networking issues (LAN, WiFi, client VPN) Strong written communication skills with the ability to document accurately and thoroughly VOIP troubleshooting and suppor Please note - every 4-6 weeks, you will be required to travel to other offices (within the UK)
