Speech & Language Therapist – Band 5 - London & Neighbouring Counties Salary: £24,000k – £27,000k per annum Hours of Work: 40 per week The Company: This is a huge opportunity to work for a fantastic company who have an already successful team and relationship with their clients. Their extensive experience enables each person to live a rich and fulfilled life with the support they need. The Role: My Client is experienced at providing the right specialist for each individual. The people they support have a wide range of needs including learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism and Asperger’s and these complex needs require a specialist and tailored approach. They are expanding their team and looking for genuinely caring, dynamic and hands on individuals with strong multi-tasking skills to join their dedicated team. Role Responsibilities: The SLT (Band 5) will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as an autonomous professional according to the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy ‘Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct’ and the ‘ Health Professions Council Regulations’. Utilising Speech and Language Therapy skills to effectively assess, treat and provide on-going evaluation and support of clients. As well as assist the Clinical Lead SLT in delivering training programmes to MDT in order to ensure competency in working with patients who have communication and or swallowing difficulties. Essential Skills & Requirements: You will ideally have a minimum of six months postgraduate SLT clinical experience with adults Experience within social services is desirable Ideally have previous experience in an adult clinical learning disability/mental health community rehabilitation setting.
