Overview
A global brand based in Welwyn Garden City is currently looking to add an experienced accounts payable assistant to their friendly team for a 12-month maternity contract. The role sits within a well-established and outgoing team of 5 in the purchase ledger team. This role will be for a term of 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave, however, due to growth, there will be opportunities within the business to grow or apply for permanent opportunities. Benefits: Excellent working environment Free on-site parking Possibility of a permanent role Flexible starting hours Accounts Payable Responsibilities: Manage and control the Purchase Ledger including scanning and logging of invoice Ensuring that all invoices are properly authorised by designated individuals Posting the invoices to the system Perform payment runs via (BACs, CHAPS, direct debits) Ensure prompt payment of invoices Checking and reconciling supplier statements Assist with month-end closing and ensure invoices coded to General Ledger and Cost Centres Ensure that best practice is both shared and implemented within their operating company
