Overview

A new opportunity in Newcastle City Centre to join a long established private wealth and tax team as they look to recruit a Trust & Tax Accounts Assistant. Joining a welcoming and experienced team of professionals who will guide you through as you learn your role will see you preparing trust accounts and personal/trust returns. In your quieter times you will also gain exposure to charities and small business accounts and the related compliance helping the wider team. A great opportunity to learn and develop your knowledge. We are looking to attract an individual with experience of accounts preparation, from an accountancy practice rather than industry. You will need to be able to demonstrate your knowledge of a range of accounts formats, processes and procedures, working both manually and with relevant systems. Experience of presenting information in spreadsheet format (Excel) and in written report form (Word) is also required. A professional accounting qualification is not essential but desirable (AAT). From the tax perspective, any working knowledge of preparing personal/trust returns would be beneficial, as would a relevant tax qualification (ATT) This position offers a perfect combination of accounts and tax and is likely to be attractive to those working in accounts who enjoy the tax elements of their current role.
