Role Profile:- This young company injected with substantial investment resulting in dynamic growth over the past 3 years have positioned themselves as a leader and key influencer in the and Fibre Broadband Services Provider arena supplying 1Gbps Broadband to businesses and residents in London. With further investment and growth scoped for the next 5 years, my client are seeking a motivated and focused Head of IT / IT Systems Manager who has experience working in the ISP, Telco or the IT Solutions and Technical Services environment. Engaging this role, you will be joining an extremely busy IT department in which you will be required to Lead, Manage Develop and Deliver a variety of technical and functional projects, creating & enforcing policies and processes, mentoring the Infrastructure Team, bonding with 3 rd Parties, coexist with the Network function as well as being the escalation point for all IT related queries across the company. Please Note: Entering this role it is 50% hands on technical and a 50% leadership post. Initially you will need to use your technical experience to take control of the existing infrastructure systems coexisting with 3 rd party suppliers supporting the delivery of agreed SLA's. Overtime, you will take on more responsibilities bringing in-house the ownership of the Infrastructure Systems and methodically growing into a "hands-off" Head of IT requiring you to recruit and bring in your own staff as the IT Dept expands. This role will be a key, pivotal role and you will be the "eyes and ears" of the company's IT Infrastructure Systems for the future. With excellent communications skills using the telephone / verbal and written / documentation modes you will also need the skill most in demand - the ability to listen. Your key areas of expertise and responsibilities include: Maintain an awareness of the changes in the technology sector, identifying and introducing new technologies which will benefit the organisation through increased efficiencies and an improved customer experience. Support business processes and audits linked to GDPR Clearly define the IT strategy for the next 1-3 years Drive service delivery strategy, departmental processes and policies. Perform requirements gathering, working with stakeholders to scope IT projects. Work closely with the senior management team to overcome business challenges with the use of technology. Manage vendors & supplier relationships and liaise with them to find the best fit hardware or software for business. Recruit and onboard Junior IT Administrators in the department. Advise, Guide, Train & Mentor Junior IT Administrators in the department. Conduct regular review of systems, procedures and controls. Your Technical experience will need to include: Solid IT operating systems (Windows), particularly Windows Server Domain controller Installing IT hardware and software Responsible for Active Directory, Domain administration, Windows Operation MS Office 365 as well as strong VMware Co-ordination with technical aspects of desk relocations, electrical testing Initiate disaster recovery testing and physical security systems Microsoft qualifications, MTA, MCSA and/or CCNA will be highly desirable Maintain and administer the office IT systems and equipment, printers, scanners etc Knowledge of Network Switches routers etc will be advantageous On this client-facing platform you will need a consultative DNA, a high-level of Service Ethic, and a "Customer is King" attitude.
