Overview

SYNLAB provides a wide range of testing capabilities from workplace drug and alcohol testing, food testing, oil and fuel testing, veterinary testing and advanced pathology services through to the most innovative molecular and genetic diagnostic tests available today. SYNLAB work closely with clinicians, hospitals, occupational health providers and clinical researchers to provide a complete pathology offering. We have a 9 month fixed term contract for a Information Analyst to join the organisation. The role reports to the Head of Data and Analytics and main responsibilities include: To capture the current billing and information reporting information streams at all relevant pathology sites and perform a gap analysis against the contractual obligations of the joint business partnerships. Lead on the scoping of the requirements to meet contractual reporting obligations and mapping of information streams, ensuring that there is clear and agreed understanding of requirements and flagging any reporting risks to the commercial team. Once agreed, co-manage the project to develop all required reporting to specifications and agreed deadlines. This includes establishing the processes for monthly invoice reporting, and complex supporting patient level data. Desired Skills and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics related studies, Highly numerical with experience in complex manipulation and interpretation of data, Advanced Microsoft skills, in particular Microsoft Excel and Access, Previous experience of using business intelligence tools, for example Power BI or Business Objects, Excellent experience of stakeholder management, working across multiple teams to deliver complex projects, Highly developed verbal reasoning and communication, with strong report writing skills, Can demonstrate working on their own initiative. Desirable Previous experience of working in an NHS environment, Experience and knowledge of the Winpath Enterprise LIMS system.
