Finishing Production Manager Leading Edge Labels and Packaging is one of the largest packaging suppliers in the UK supplying printed packaging to the household, personal care, food, beverage, beauty, healthcare, petcare, horticulture and automotive industries. Supplying some of the world’s leading brands, we are a trusted supplier providing high quality innovation in consumer packaging. We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to competently plan and manage production activities at our slitting and finishing plant, ensuring that all operations are carried out in a safe, economical and timely manner in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures. The Production Manager will also be responsible for maximising productivity and plant efficiency through active management of production staff, whilst building strong working relationships with other department heads and the senior management team. You will have strong management skills, able to hold and chair meetings and lead the team; and proven ability to deliver improvements. Good knowledge of health and safety regulation and safe systems of work would also be an advantage. Reporting into the Operations Director, you will be a key member of management team and will be responsible for the overall operational performance and management of the finishing and logistics team. You will play a key part of driving communication and engagement at site with all colleagues and stakeholders. Requirements · Demonstrate the ability to drive change and move at pace in a rapidly changing factory environment · A track record in running a lean operation, ideally in a Manufacturing environment · Strong communication skills · Proven experience of managing change and expansion · Quick thinking, fast paced approach to change Key tasks · Overseeing the production and logistics process · Making sure that products are produced OTIF · Follow quality, health and safety and other procedures currently in place · Provide leadership and development as required to achieve objectives · Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement activities · Deal with any production/quality issues in a professional and timely manner · Manage staffing levels · Set, promotion, and manage KIP’s Package Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience, plus monthly performance bonus and company pension scheme.
