Overview

We have an opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join our Construction Team in London. You will be responsible for implementing the Wates Strategic Supply Chain Strategy at Business level, managing key members of the supply chain (internally & externally) to ensure the processes are managed effectively to maximise profit, value and opportunity. As a Supply Chain Manager some of your Key Accountabilities will include: Make business decisions based on conclusions, business to business plans and market understanding Select suppliers using a business-based comparison (commercial / operation) to generate a shortlist and recommendation Maximise value by considering alternative options – product / programme / business opportunities Understand supplier product and performance against Wates strategic corporate social responsibility (CSR) Have a detailed understanding of offering from sub-contractor against Wates strategic targets including mutual business benefits Report performance and strategic information and metrics to Business leaders. We are looking for a fully qualified Supply Chain Manager who has worked in a similar role, ideally within construction, and can demonstrate leadership and influencing skills To be successful in this role you will be confident communicator with the ability to negotiate and improve contract terms, along with budgeting, targeting and forecasting skills.
