Overview
Due to expansion and with more to come, our client is looking to strengthen its team. Working within a fast moving production facility, you will be employed within the quality function and this can, at present be as a Quality Coordinator, but ultimately this will evolve into a Quality Manager position - but in essence you will be responsible for the management of the whole quality remit for the factory. You will cover: Responsibility of the QMS Conduct Internal and Supplier audit Work with the external accrediting body Coordinate and facilitate customer audits Manage internal, customer and supplier quality issues Oversee CI activities Create actions plans Write SOPs Chair quality meetings Complete inward goods in inspection This is an all encompassing role - from rolling your selves up and visually quality checking raw materials to becoming an integral part or the process, when the company are looking to bid for new customers. You will need to be from a Quality Coordination/Management background. knowledgeable and experienced in quality systems Ideally: a qualification in six sigma There is travel associated with this position - it is limited but you will need to be flexible if there is a requirement for you to attend a customers/suppliers site and you will need to attend a head office meeting once a year and this will be in Europe. The company operates 2 shut downs each year - one at Christmas and 1 in the summer, so annual leave is required to be taken at these points.
