Overview
IT Sourcing Manager position for a leading insurance company based in London Your new company Your new company is one the UK's leading insurance companies in both motor, home and commercial insurance. Their procurement function has about 20 professionals in it which cover all insurance specific categories as well as generic IT/Non-IT service based categories. Your new role As an IT Sourcing Manager within the Procurement team, you will be responsible for end to end strategic sourcing within the IT space. You will work closely with suppliers to access the latest innovation as well as challenge unnecessary business demand. This will require you to have strong stakeholder engagement skills as you will need to work closely with internal stakeholders to influence and negotiate. You will be involved in various projects to develop annual plans towards strategy implementation towards the supplier portfolio. You will work closely with the senior stakeholders across the business to develop robust category strategies to ensure maximum value is being delivered. What you'll need to succeed You will need prior experience within procurement, and specifically a proven track record working with IT suppliers (Software suppliers is essential). You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to build/maintain working relationships with external suppliers. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, experience delivering value when negotiating with IT suppliers in terms of cost, risk and value add is essential. There will be various ongoing projects throughout the year, so you will need to be able to manage multiple workstreams with a can-do attitude which will enable you to manage stakeholder expectations.
