Overview

Our client are a leading Consultancy in Environmental Services who cover multiple disciplines including Engineering, Oil & Gas and Water & Waste Water and many more. They are currently seeking an experienced Dam Engineer to be based in Leeds on a permanent basis. Working with the Dams and Hydropower team, you will be helping towards delivering projects for a number of UK water and utility clients in the UK and overseas. Main responsibilities and tasks: Work on projects within a framework of water industry, dam engineering and hydropower Provide Technical input for Dam and Hydropower projects including studies, design and performance monitoring Build relationships within the industry and the wider company community (Waterpower & Dams) Use the appropriate software to provide advice, solutions and successful outcomes for clients Maintain the up to date technical knowledge and CPD relevant Complete work in line with company Core Values and in accordance with company Systems/Project Quality Procedures Qualifications: Degree qualified (or Equivalent) in Civil Engineering or another relevant engineering subject Be working towards Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) Member of relevant engineering institution (e.g. ICE) Member of Supervising Panel of Engineers (ideally under Reservoirs Act) Previous experience in Dam Engineering, Hydraulic Structures and Hydropower is an advantage Self-motivated, flexible and reliable with good problem-solving skills Ability to integrate into a team Computer literate with MS Office experience and ability to develop further skills Possess knowledge of current legislation to work in line with QA and H&S procedures Strong communication and organisational skills To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK without visa restrictions.
