Finance Analyst - Milton Keynes - £40,000-£45,000 Are you an analysis-focused accountant who doesn't just look at the "what" but the "why?" Perhaps you feel your strengths lie in providing actionable information to colleagues in non-finance roles, with a focus on improving performance and influencing decision making. A major PLC business in central Milton Keynes is currently looking to hire a Finance Analyst who can do just that. By looking into the operational costs of the business, you will develop an in-depth understanding of where cost can be reduced and how resources can be allocated more effectively across the group to help achieve growth targets. You will be responsible for delivering insight, analysis and commentary to colleagues across the business and challenging them on current ways of working. These key areas of cost will fall under your jurisdiction with the objective that you will identify tends and behaviours that allow the business to control them more . As a Finance Analyst you will look into management reporting and identify anomalies, risks and opportunities business-wide, identifying them to the leadership team helping to build a picture of the wider business. As well as the analysis side, you will work to build out reporting tools and models to display this key information in a clear and actionable way. You'll build business cases, forecasts, budgets as well as get involved with major projects to look at where costs can be controlled here too. This is a highly visible role across the business so you will need to be someone who can demonstrate an ability to form strong working relationships and an ability to challenge in the right way. Strong excel and analytical skills will be essential when turning data into insight which can be clearly communicated to the business. This is a qualified level Finance role so you will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, or approaching final stages of finishing off your papers. You may already be working as a Finance Analyst in another business, or an accountant role where you are involved in the analysis but looking to become more specialised.
