Job Overview: For 24 years, Working Smart, a specialised "Energy Recruitment Consultancy" has been providing contractors and staff to the global Oil and Gas industry and has extended their remit in recent years to petrochemical, refinery and renewables. Due to business growth we are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic individual to support existing and new business. This is an ideal role for a geoscience or engineering graduate or for an experienced recruiter or professional in the oil and gas industry. This role may be ideal for someone retired or semi-retired looking to stay in the industry - we are highly flexible with days/hours worked. Preferably, you will have a background in the Oil and Gas industry with knowledge of some of the disciplines in Exploration and Production (e.g. Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering, Drilling…). An understanding of the commercial and technical needs of today’s Energy marketplace is advantageous. With a fully integrated recruitment software system, which streamlines the administration and recruitment process, this role is relatively straightforward for someone with excellent communication skills, who is methodical and computer literate. The role offers a great deal of variety working in a friendly working environment. Full training in the recruitment software system and administration processes will be provided. Responsibilities : Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will undertake the following tasks: Build good working relations with your assigned clients and new clients. Take responsibility for your client recruitment projects: o understanding their job requirements/challenges/constraints/timeframes o creating job specs o devising marketing/advertising strategies o undertaking a headhunting process o screening and shortlisting candidates o salary negotiations o filling positions o Securing endorsements from candidates and clients Provide strong project management throughout the process - keeping the MD and client stakeholders informed. Be proactive in driving new business - generate leads through: keeping abreast of industry news, players, people on the move, networking at events etc. Convert leads to clients. Preferences: The successful candidate will preferably have: A geoscience or engineering graduate OR an experienced recruiter OR professional in the oil and gas industry essential Great organisational abilities - highly customer focused Confidence with excellent communication skills - will be emailing/talking with clients and candidates on a daily basis - forming good working relations with them. For graduates, previous experience of working in an office environment highly desired but the key is the ability to undertake the role effectively and the desire to do so. A good knowledge MS Office, Email systems (preferably MS Outlook) and social media - highly computer literate essential . Previous client-facing experience such as sales, customer service roles advantageous. The ability to multi-task and be methodical in work practices essential . An understanding of the importance of delivering good service both internally and externally to clients essential . A strong sense of accountability -taking ownership of tasks and delivering results on time and in a professional manner. A willingness to attend conferences/exhibitions as required.
