THE COMPANY: As a Data Engineer, you will be working for a modern company within the insurance sector, driving innovation into the industry. With data and analytics at the heart of their company, they are set to transform how insurance works, and need you to help them achieve this. THE ROLE: Offering opportunities to craft, design, and build a data strategy and development with the latest tech, you'll be sure to set your career alight by joining this leading-edge company. Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following: Creating, designing, building, and maintaining ETL and ELT pipelines in Python, Airflow, and AWS. Be instrumental in evolving the architecture of their data function, to enable a long-term goal. Manage relationships between product teams and help make strategic decisions in a collaborative mindset. Take ownership of product data in a 'single source of truth' data platform, with emphasis on data quality and efficiency. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: You must have the following skills, attributes, and experiences. Educated to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field. Proven commercial experience programming in Python, SQL, and AWS. Working knowledge of orchestration via Airflow and loading into a Redshift cluster. Commercial experience with visualisation tools including Looker, PowerBI, Tableau. Commercial experience and willingness to take ownership of projects, including code reviews, discussions, and relationship management between teams. THE BENEFITS: The successful candidate will receive a salary - dependent on experience - between £60,00 and £65,000.
