Learning & Development Trainer - IT Birmingham Up to £35k Benefits Who are we? BC HR have partnered with a leading professional services business that is looking for a Learning & Development Trainer to join their team based in Birmingham. As their L&D Trainer, you will be responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of training courses and training materials for end users with a key focus on in-house systems training and Microsoft. Responsibilities: Develop and source appropriate training reference materials, certificates and hand-out materials. Deliver training programmes across the business using various media including classroom training, workshops and one to one tuition. Evaluate training in order to ensure effective delivery. Keep appropriate and accurate training attendance and evaluation records. Contribute to the specification and evaluation of software applications and hardware in relation to usability and impact on the company's training needs. Conduct training sessions for all employees on a wide range of software applications including In house systems and Microsoft. Develop and update training manuals and handouts for training purposes Design, organise, set up and deliver courses to meet the needs of the business. Keep up to date with relevant systems, software and where appropriate programming languages used within the organisation. Co-ordinate the administration of training courses, including diary management and database management. What skills are we looking for? Up to date knowledge of commonly used IT programmes and systems. Excellent spoken and written communication skills. Microsoft Office Specialist Programme. Planning, training and presentation skills. The confidence to deliver IT training to individuals and groups across a variety of levels. Ability to adapt training to match levels of ability. Time keeping and organisational skills Problem solving skills A patient and understanding approach, together with the ability to motivate learners. An awareness of IT accessibility and usability issues. Ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the business. Edexcel (BTEC) National Certificate and Diploma for IT Practitioners. A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook. Experience of designing e-learning packages would be an advantage but not essential. Previous training experience with professional would be ideal but not essential. Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter.
