Are you a hands-on Head of Engineering who thrives in a start-up environment? Would you like to have ownership for building out a platform that's going to help small business owners immeasurably? Currently, there are thousands of small businesses and craftspeople who's only route to market is to rely on huge, cumbersome, costly delivery services in order to get their product to market - with this platform that is about to change By building out a fulfilment platform, small business owners across the world will get exposure to storage space, couriers and everything else they need to get their product to the end user - all using a platform build by you The PoC is built in Python, but as the technical owner of the platform you'll have cart blanche to build the platform in a chosen technology as you see fit - with a focus on microservices architecture. What do you need to be successful in this role? Experience of eCommerce (ideally last mile order fulfilment) Previous ownership of a platform, including making decisions around architecture and coding practices Knowledge of microservices architecture If you're the right Head of Engineering for this position, you'll receive a very competitive salary as well as equity in the business - plus the freedom to build out the team as you see fit going forward.
