Overview

Flexible working, Full-time, Part-time Please note the successful candidate will be based at 102 Petty France, London, SW1H 9EA. The purpose of this role is to deliver a customer focused, professional HR Service, which supports the delivery of the CPS business objectives and the vision of a professional HR team. You will also work collaboratively with peers across Partner Areas; sharing good practice and lessons learnt to deliver the business and to ensure resilience. Work in partnership with the Heads of Unit/Chief Crown Prosecutor (CCP)/ Area Business Manager (ABM), Senior/HRBP and other senior managers, providing specialist HR advice on all HR issues, ensuring that advice reflects current CPS HR policy and is compliant with current employment law legislation. Support managers in the management of day to day HR issues to minimise the risk of disputes. To be proactive in progressing HR cases including management of a HR caseload, providing advice and recommendations to line managers and escalating to senior management where appropriate. Prepare monthly reports for the Senior Management Team in relation to HR issues identifying trends and issues for action by Senior Managers. Take a lead role in implementation and assurance of all new and existing HR policies. Deliver training supporting tools and skills for the job. Provide advice and guidance to operational management teams on a wide range of HR issues to improve staff engagement, performance, attendance, conduct, health and well-being, including the handling and preparation of Occupational Health (OH) referrals, organisational change and managing redeployment etc. Delivering a customer focused service to all staff and managers across the whole range of human resources functions. Identify, address and escalate as necessary issues of non-compliance with relevant HR policies. This is a full-time post. However, requests for flexible, part-time working and job share will be considered, taking into account at all times the operational needs of the Department.
