Overview
Do you have the commitment and positive values to make a difference to the lives of people living in Birmingham? This particular service supports people to actively progress individual mental health recovery through support planning, proactive key-working, the delivery of therapeutic activities and signposting to appropriate services. Creative Support is a non-profit organisation which provides high quality person centred social care services for people with learning disabilities, mental health and other needs. We are looking for person-centred individuals who are well-motivated, hardworking and keen to join our friendly team. This unique role combines supervision of volunteers and 1:1 support work in the context of a busy café, serving service users and the wider public in a mental health setting. You will be the lead worker in running an efficient and welcoming café at our Yardley Recovery Hub. In addition to supervising volunteers, you will lead the development and delivery of the tailored work experience/employment opportunities within the cafe for service users with a variety of additional needs who will be accessing the Birmingham Mental Health Recovery and Employment Service.
