Overview
Property Manager Advisor Location: Hoddesdon Monday - Friday 37.5 hours Salary up to £30,000 per annum We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Property Manager to join our Hoddesdon Team. We are looking for someone who wishes to move into an office based role advising our Property Managers on best practice and procedures. You will not have a portfolio, your role will be to support compliance,complaints dealing with legislative/ financial/ compliance issues raised by their clients and customers. Role and responsibilities of Property Manager Advisor Knowledge of compliance with Landlord & Tenant legislation and industry best practice. Investigate complaints and queries of a high profile nature and provide a solid case for defence, both to present internally and within FTT’s and Courts if required. Maintain ownership of these through to completion. Apply current legislation and best practice to formulate detailed responses, prepare reports. Collate and present periodic financial information to clients for review and provide comprehensive answers to their questions. Interpret legal documents such as Leases, management agreements, heating network contracts, Memorandum & Articles and provide comment to prospective clients on the content of draft versions of these if requested. Ability to understand and interpret complex Service Charge Accounts. Assist Regional and Property Managers in dealing with legislative/financial/compliance issues raised by their clients and customers. Assist in ensuring that business processes remain compliant with legislation and best practice Keep up to date with legislative changes and impacts of court decisions. Understanding of Company Law in relation to RMC’s. Should be able to read and interpret M&A’s and apply the Tables were required. Understand the duties of RMC Directors and Company Secretaries Have an awareness of the process to vary Leases, Deeds & M&A’s Working knowledge of the ARMA Consumer Charter & RICS Service Charge Code of Conduct Working knowledge of Factoring and the Code of Conduct. Assist with making judgement calls on areas of risk to the business taking into account both Company reputation and financial impact. Skills required for the Property Manager Advisor Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a Block Management environment Minimum 2 years in a client facing, advisory role. MIRPM, AssocRICS preferred Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills Strong aptitude with computer systems and software Confident presentation skills in a small to medium sized group in both informal and formal situations.
