Overview

Global Data Protection Manager. Circa £60k Comprehensive Benefits Package. 12 Months Fixed Term. Central London. T6/MN/17794. Global organisation is seeking to secure a Global Data Protection Manager, the role will help build a data protection culture across the organisation. The Global Data Protection Manager will drive the required changes across the globe - ensuring the organisation aligns to the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA2018). Accountability: Lead in the implementation of Data Protection change initiatives The primary initial contact point for global senior management and key stakeholders on privacy matters and on all matters related to Data Protection Monitor changes to Data Protection law and provide guidance on all related matters - update and make appropriate changes in policies and procedures Ensure key global stakeholders are aware of the Data Protection needs Manage the delivery of Data Protection awareness communications and mandatory online training Establish and maintain a network of regional focal points to ensure change initiatives and Data Protection awareness - help foster a data privacy culture Effective management of the Data Protection Champions and identify risks - coordinate the implementation of risk remediation measures Undertake Supplier assessments Skills and Experience Required: GDPR expert knowledge and data protection legislation - a good understanding of other major privacy frameworks and evolving legislation worldwide Detailed approach - recommend and implement strategic improvements on a range of Data Privacy and Data Protection issues Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and data with discretion Strong project and change management skills - able to manage time, prioritise effectively, and handle multiple deadlines Confidence and ability to use independent judgement and discretion when making majority decisions Excellent communication skills - writing and presentation skills Ability to work without supervision - able to exercise leadership, and influence change Knowledge of PC applications, including MS Office Understanding of business process documentation, how to develop policies and defining best practices for Data Protection change and communications Conceptual understanding of information and Data Security by Design Data breach management and Data Protection awareness requirements and supporting subject access requests Information security, records and change management - experience ideally gained within a complex privacy programme or project environment Professional interpersonal skills - has the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels Desirable: Certified EU GDPR practitioner Have worked within a large global organisation Privacy qualifications e.g. CIPP, ISEB, C-DPO ISO27001 Lead Implementer or other IT Security certification CISSP, CISM Keywords: GDPR, ISO27001, Data Protection Manager, Data Protection, ISO 27001, Global Data Protection Manager, ISO27001 Lead Implementer, Data Protection Act, Data Protection Manager.
