Overview

Data Engineering with AWS is challenging, but it could be a lot better if the data you where dealing with was for a major motorsports company Do you have a passion for data and would like the opportunity to work with a leading automotive brand? This Data Engineer position is to build a new AWS data solution for their new analytics & data science division. Your role will be to ingest data from API's, IOT sensors and other high-volume sources, cleaning, validating and storing data, aggregating information and providing a platform for analysis by working on the new data lake. You will facilitate the analytics teams in creating predictive models and aiming to discover patterns in data. The role will own this new data solution and be a key player on how it is designed and delivered. The Role - Build the data lake on AWS (amazon web services) - Design data systems that will scale to service teams across the business - Acquire data from multiple sources, filtering, cleaning and wrapping - Importing data between sources and databases - Data transformations to allow search, indexing and relational discovery - Develop process improvement opportunities - Build scalable data pipelines and dashboards to enable business KPI tracking - Develop tools to help the data collection process. What You Need - Experience with AWS and related data tools - Experience / exposure to developing data lakes and big data systems - Experience using multiple programming and scripting languages including SQL & Python - Familiarity with statistical modelling, machine learning and data mining - Experience with network and web related protocols.
