Overview
The commute into work is your favourite part of you day. OK, that's not true. It's the worst part of your day, but if you work in investment management you have to accept that you'll be on a late running train to London Bridge followed probably by half an hour on a packed tube to Mayfair. Or perhaps you could get drenched walking up to the city. Either way, it's a pretty poor way to start the day. But what if there was another way? What if one of the most well established investment firms in the UK were looking for an Investment Manager in Kent? Read on… The role is based near Bromley in the leafy suburbs, working on the investments for HNW and UHNW individuals in the area. There is an established book of business and whilst they want this to grow with new money, the focus will be on maintaining the business levels and building on that base. You'll have autonomy on how your run these clients, they expect someone to be comfortable working with this level of people so will give you the freedom to run the investments as you see fit. They're not restricted, instead offer a more holistic approach meaning you can offer the best possible solutions and not just the best in house. So what are they looking for? Experience of managing advisory and discretionary portfolios and day to day dealings. You have previous experience working with wealthy clients and ideally knowledge of a stockbroking environment. You're personal network will be well established and you're reputation will be strong. You'll have your qualifications too, CF30 qualified and must hold industry level qualifications 4 e.g. CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma in Securities; Level 6 PCIAM Diploma; CISI Masters (Wealth Management).
