Herts Good Care is a non-profit company, supporting adult care providers across Hertfordshire to fill their permanent positions. We are currently working with Manuella Care Ltd to find a Care Manager to join their team. Job Shift: Days and Weekends Location: Barnet Type of Provider: Home Care (Domiciliary) Assisting older adults living with Dementia, End Of Life, Learning Disability, Physical Disability, Sensory Impairment Salary: £32000 - £35000 Per Annum Hours of Work: 37.5 Driving Required: No Contract Type: Full Time Contract About the company The general aim of Manuella Care is to provide high quality, responsive and supportive services to service users in the community, in order that they may reach and maintain maximum independence. To recommend new policies and procedures as may be required and review existing policies and procedures regularly. To ensure accurate records of management activity are kept in line with current regulations, prevailing standards and contractual obligations. To ensure all staff are aware of their Health and Safety responsibilities. To undertake Health and Safety responsibilities as may be delegated and ensure that equipment failure or Health and Safety concerns are recorded and reported to the appropriate personnel or department. To participate in out of hours 'on call’ rota. To undertake any other duties commensurate with this role that may be required from time to time. To undertake training and personal development activity to ensure continuous development. To undertake unannounced 'spot checks’ to monitor practice and take appropriate action where practice falls below the standard expected. Reconciling petty cash and ensuring receipts are always obtained. Payroll duties including verifying timesheets and processing these for payment. To advise the registered Manager of any malfunction of the heating, lighting or emergency systems and ensure the security of the premises To ensure that the fire regulations are complied with and advise the Registered Manager if there are areas of risk To ensure that service users are, wherever possible, are supported in retaining responsibility of their own money and financial arrangements; and assisted to ensuring their money is accounted for and spent safely where necessary What makes the perfect Care Manager? Must be a driver At least two years' experience in a senior management capacity A management qualification or care qualification equivalent to NVQ level 4 in care management Sound understanding of good care principles Able to take responsibility Leadership and negotiating skills Self motivated Good planning and organisational skills Flexible Caring with ability to display empathy and warmth Sensitive to the needs of others and to the sick or infirm An active team player but also able to work on own initiative Excellent communication skills Committed to high standards Committed to training Skills in assessment and care planning Experience in change management If you are interested in this position please apply today and we will call you within the next couple of days.
