Overview

A 3 month Rolling Contract up until the end of 2020 Our client in London is looking for an entrepreneurial, experienced, and analytical Quality Manager. This position will focus on ensuring E2E product quality, from supplier and product selection, to product development and specifications, to scale-up and production, to ensuring product quality in the marketplace. You will work directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop and implement the companys Quality program, including writing SOPs and templates, developing and managing risk management plans, supporting customer insights activities, ensuring visual quality standards in manufacturing, managing corrective actions, and managing audits and supplier relationships. The Successful candidate will manage the quality programs in conjunction with the Food Safety and Product Compliance teams, as well as other stakeholders across the business. This role requires expertise in consumer packaged goods manufacturing, strong organizational and communication skills (verbal & written), a solution-oriented mindset, a high bar for quality, a clear focus on customer needs, and a track record of operating in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include;- - Owning product quality from a customer perspective from concept to launch. Develop quality assurance programs, ensuring adherence to GMP requirements, Social Responsibility and Factory Quality audits & CAP closure, product specifications and visual quality standards, final production customer testing, quality incident management, and sustainable manufacturer quality - Working with chosen suppliers to ensure an optimized selection, based on identifying risk areas and developing risk management plans with the team, ensuring robust specifications, and audit management and CAP closure - Managing production runs including executing Amazon standards on visual quality, process optimization, and solving challenges onsite - Driving supplier and CM manufacturing improvement, optimization and cost savings - Manage corrective actions with suppliers in response to customer reviews feedback and expectations, and manage product improvement activities (post launch) - Traveling as needed to meet with suppliers (supplier review process, production runs, or corrective actions as needed) - projected 10% of time - Collaborating with other members of the Consumables team including, but not limited to, Category Managers, Project Management, Marketing Managers, Instock Managers, Sustainability Managers, and Packaging Managers supporting project timeline deliverables -Establish, manage and monitor key performance metrics for suppliers, internal stakeholders, and Amazon customers Qualifications;- BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Package Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Quality Engineering or related technical field - 3 years of experience in CPG manufacturing, operations, and product & supplier quality management systems - Experience in daily-use, high-repeat purchase product categories such as Grocery, Household, Pet, Personal Care, Beauty, Health & Wellness, and Baby Care - Experience with cGMP, HACCP, manufacturing methods, process and continuous improvement programs and procedures - Experience creating, implementing and maintaining internal quality systems/document management systems, standards/SOPs for internal and external applications - Program management experience in new product introduction and successfully introduced new products to volume production - Outstanding oral and written , communication skills around supplier engagement, incident management, and communicating ideas effectively across different levels within the organization - Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data - The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization / time management and problem solving skills - Diversified experience with entire product lifecycle and supply chain (R&D, scale-up, operations management, consumer feedback)
