Overview

My client is an extremely prestigeous, market leading Data Consultancy with offices throughout the UK. They work with some of the biggest names in the Financial Services industry. They are an agile, client focused consultancy. My client are looking for a number of Data Engineers, ranging from Junior to Senior that have proven experience and strong technical skills to join their teams in either their our Edinburgh or London offices. Salary: Between £30,000 - £70,000 depending on the seniorirty of the role you apply for. Location: Choice between London and Edinburgh office PERKS Annual Bonus Quaterly Awards Spot Awards Essential Requirements Experience of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP Expert SQL Skills 3 years of experience in a data engineer role Experience working with the Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Hive/Impala, Databricks) Strong Programming background in Java, Scala, R or Python Experience in designing, developing and managing data pipelines to process large amounts of data Experience of cloud based big data offerings such as Amazon EMR, Azure HDInsights or Google Dataproc Experience working with an ETL tool e.g. Azure Data Factory, SSIS & Talend Understanding of data modelling techniques e.g. Kimball Experience working with data streams e.g. Kafka Experience working with large, structured and unstructured datasets Experience with database technologies (relational, NoSQL, graph) Expertise with version control e.g. git Flexibility to travel to and work on client sites within the UK and occasionally Europe. Excellent track record in executive stakeholder and sponsor management and maintaining valuable relationships.
