Overview
Our client based in Dartford who are a market leader within furniture hire are looking to recruit a HR Manager to join their growing business. The group consists of a Main depot in Dartford a group company in Southall and a satellite depot in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the HR of the entire group. The role will be logistics orientated however there will also be sales, accounting, IT and management positions that will fall within the remit. A working knowledge of Health and safety regimens would be an advantage. The initial emphasis will be the recruitment and training of Logistics staff to cover the fast approaching peak business season. Job Role: Responsible for recruitment and any employment issues across the business, experience within employment law, disciplines etc Managing appraisal schemes Recruiting a flexible workforce to cover seasonal variations in the business Assist in the facilitation of meetings and arranging minute taking for H&S Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy Providing strategic direction across a wide range of HR matters Partnering and influencing with different levels of the organisation Planning, managing and coordinating all HR initiatives Supporting current and future business needs through the development of their people Skills/Experience Needed: Experience working within a similar role within the Transport/ Logistics industry Knowledge of employment law and HR duties Excellent communicator who is process driven and bottom line focused Health & Safety knowledge across industry is desirable Full driving licence as travel may occasionally be needed
