Lead Java Developer/Manager (Java, AWS, SpringBoot) | London Bridge | £80,000 Remote Working Strong Benefits | Insure-Tech This is a great opportunity for a Software Development Manager to join a fast growing, Insure-Tech organisation in a prime location within London. You will be responsible for leading the development of the product; recruiting, mentoring and nurturing an engineering team typically comprised of software engineers, quality assurance engineers and DevSecOps. Ideally you will be coming form a strong development background where you have mainly utilised Java and AWS. This position will be managerial focused but will need you stay hands on probably 30-40% of the time, helping with code and guiding other developers. Traits needed as the Lead Java Developer: Ideally already in a software development manager position or a senior or lead engineer looking for your next step. Passionate about quality in product engineering. You like to evidence base the software development lifecycle in order to improve it. You are bold in challenging in-grained practices that you can demonstrate do not produce results. You can balance team members’ individual aspirations with company goals. Experienced needed as the Lead Java Developer : Demonstrable experience in product engineering and how to fine tune the software development process. Knowledge of building maintainable products. Experience of microservice architectures, Java and Spring, RESTful APIs. Appreciation of full stack engineering. Well versed in CI\CD and building pipelines for the test and delivery of robust products. Experience of cloud computing, ideally in AWS. Understand what it takes to build quality engineering pipelines with a high degree of test automation. Knowledge of containerisation technologies, specifically Docker.
