Lead Java Developer An exciting Lead Java Developer role has arisen with a growing technology company I partner with in the busy Liverpool Street area who build web based platforms for some of the world’s most successful eCommerce businesses globally. They’re seeking a Lead Java Developer that can combine strong technical acumen and hands on skills with the ability to lead, mentor and grow their Agile development environment utilising strong leadership skills. Hands On Experience: From a hands on perspective, the Lead Java Developer should have worked within environments that are using Java 8-12, Spring, Microservices, CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven), Test Driven Development and an Agile working approach. The kind of Lead Java Developer who will land the role will live and breathe technology and will be passionate about working amongst like-minded people who love to share knowledge and experiences Leadership Experience: From a leadership perspective, I’m seeking Lead Java Developers who have worked with small, Agile teams (typically 6-8 in size) of Developers, providing technical leadership and support, mentoring more junior dev team members and driving the use of best practices including maximum test coverage. In addition, the Lead Java Developer should be of an assertive nature and should be capable of communicating with both technical and often non-technical stakeholders who can sometimes be more challenging to communicate with. The Lead Java Developer role comes with an exciting training and education package as well as some fantastic benefits on top of the basic salary of up to £85,000.
