An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a start-up company near Cambridge within the consumer electronics industry who has just secured the funding to expand their team Mechanical Design Engineer responsibilities: You’ll be involved with all aspect of a project lifecycle and will be working collaboratively with the electronics team. It’s a growing company with exciting plans in the future so they are keen to hire creative and passionate engineers to continue their journey Ideally we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with the following experience: - Electromechanical design (motorised mechanisms) - Experience developing consumer/industrial products - Prototyping form early proof-of-concept through to technical demonstrators - Experienced Solidworks user - Concept generation - Moulding and/or sheet metal DFM experience (desirable) - DFMEA (desirable) - Motor selection and drive design (desirable) Salary: £30,000 - £55,000 DOE The interview process will be via telephone/skype/zoom/Microsoft teams.
