Principle Hardware Design Engineer £55,000 - £65,000 plus equity Fully Remote Working This company are going to be a new engineering division for a known group, within the automotive industry. Whilst offices are being established this will be a fully remote working opportunity, with equipment funding if necessary. They’ll be a part of a well-known group, with good financial backing, with plans to grow aggressively over 2020. The product is already selling well, and is on the shelves of major retailers, and the responsibility of this new start up is to develop the next generation of these road safety products, from their new R&D centre. This will involve working on cutting edge IoT embedded technology for aftermarket automotive industry. You’ll be a Principle Level Hardware Design Engineer, who wants to join the company at their inception, and work on products from early design stages, and see it right through to manufacturing, getting involved in new ideas and concepts, requirements capture, final testing, and entering production. The goal of these products, is to be a unique offering in dash cams, being able to read and senor SMART motorways, and speeding restrictions across the Country. As well as turning your hand to all areas of hardware design engineering, you’ll also help grow the company, recruit and lead your own teams and work your way up as ambitious engineer to Director level within a short space of time. You’ll have a successful track record of working on products that have gone to market and have worked alongside other engineers right through the process. You’ll work within sales, marketing and engineering to define product specifications. You’ll undertake Hardware designs and documentation, also looking at hardware safety, circuit design and analysis, management type testing, ensuring that all hardware meets relevant national and international standards. In return, you’ll have a real say in the early stages of your product offering. You’ll be someone who wants to get involved with equity shares in the business, and truly see everyone succeed. As an ambitious individual you’ll also be given the opportunity to become a director within the business within a year of joining, overseeing the hardware team. You’ll be a part of genuinely flexible group, who will give you the opportunity to work from home regularly (this will happen regularly in the early stages, as the offices are established). If you don’t have the necessary equipment at home, the company will fund any equipment you’ll need to have the appropriate set up. You’ll also receive a salary of up to £65,000. Technical Requirements As always, you’ll need to check the technical pieces to make sure that you’re matching up with the necessary requirements: Minimum of 4 year of experience in Hardware Design Working on Embedded Devices Hardware design. Ideally at least one of: Camera, Infotainment, connected device Digital and Analogue electronics: microcontrollers, signal acquisition and conditioning, low power SMPS, logic circuits and similar EMC PCB layout and design using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G,5G and GPS Mass production (>50k units per annum) Experience with CASE tools (Mentor Graphics (DX Designer, Expedition), SPICE, COMSOL, etc) Common microcontroller architecture Call to action So, if you like the ad, or you’d at least like to know some more, what’s next?
