Overview

The Opportunity: Nigel Wright have been appointed by a key repeat client to support with the recruitment of a Commercial Manager for their additive manufacturing division. They have a portfolio of clients in the UK and Europe across a broad range of markets including automotive, aerospace, energy, medical, consumer and industrial sectors. The additive manufacturing division has high growth potential and our client is looking for an ambitious individual to lead the driving of this growth, reporting into the group Managing Director. The Role: Working in partnership with the operational management and leadership teams with the aim of driving the divisional commercial and financial performance. Driving significant top line and bottom line P L growth in line with the group business plan for the next 3 years. Identifying opportunities for market growth and development (both new customer acquisition and new service offerings). Managing ongoing relationships with core customer accounts. Leading client project management and working collaboratively with the external field sales team to identify, develop and grow business from existing, lapsed and prospective customers. Motivating, coaching and developing team members on an ongoing basis. Supporting operational initiatives to implement efficiency and quality objectives. Reporting business performance upline to the board of directors on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Conducting performance management duties in a timely and efficient manner (including HR activities, appraisals, absence and holiday management and disciplinary and grievance management). Contributing to departmental budget setting and resource planning in collaboration with the board. Person Specification: Previous experience in the additive manufacturing sector is essential. Experience of managing and growing a P L. Experience of coaching and developing a team of direct reports. A track record of developing new opportunities and managing full sale cycles. Experience of key customer account management and growing existing revenue streams. Experience of project managing the onboarding of new customer accounts. The role will be customer facing, but the successful hire must be commutable to County Durham. For out of area applicants 4 days per week in County Durham would be considered.
