Job Description We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Intermediary Relationships team. Covering the North West region, the BDM will report into our Head of Intermediary Relations with a key focus to identify and manage new and existing broker relationships in order to drive Group funding performance. You’ll work with a wide range of brokers in your area to present the Group’s products and services (both Commercial and Residential) in order to generate business, achieve KPIs and ensure opportunities are developed and distribution is achieved in line with Group strategy. To be considered, you’ll have previous experience within a B2B Business Development role within financial services, ideally within specialist lending. A competitive salary of up to £60,000, dependent on experience, is offered with OTE of £90,000. In addition, you will receive a car/car allowance plus wider benefits package. Responsibilities Monitor performance and types of business in the broker market in order to identify further opportunities for growth; Maintain a thorough understanding of pertinent markets and competitors to support the broker and intermediary partnership, resulting in strong relationships adding value to the account; Identify appropriate distribution channels within the agreed market location in order to ensure that distribution is increased in line with targets and KPIs; Provide full support to all intermediaries promoting the Group’s products, services and procedures to maintain positive outcomes for customers within the TCF framework; Work closely with the wider internal team in order to optimise productivity and efficiency from business generation through to funding; Maintain an accurate working knowledge of the Group’s product criteria and underwriting procedures to support broker relationships and achieve KPIs; Maintain a broad awareness of the activities of our competitors in order to recognise new opportunities and support product design in the development of these new opportunities; Attend / support at industry events as and when required; Update the CRM daily with key activity. Qualifications Essential Experience Proven B2B business development and sales experience, ideally within specialist lending; Experience of working within a secured lending environment, with a strong understanding and knowledge of the secured lending intermediary market; Established experience in developing a robust contact strategy; Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse and negotiate with all levels of seniority; Strong objection handling and problem solving skills; Full driving licence.
